A bit about Jay
For 32 years I have worked in, studied and explored the field of wellbeing, with specific focus upon enabling others to connect with, develop and maintain their health and fulfil their potential. I originally trained in body orientated therapies, and in 1994 turned my focus to psychotherapeutic studies and the provision of related services followed by the Clinical Supervision of Practitioners. In recent years my interest, services and training have extended to incorporate Mindful Photography.
I am a Registered and Senior Accredited member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and became one of the first practitioners in the UK to gain Column C SCoPEd status. The BACP published my Master of Science Degree research findings about Practitioner Wellbeing and The British Complementary Medicine Association and Independent Professional Therapists International published my articles relating to the Supervision of Practitioners and I have presented and co-facilitated a wide-ranging variety of therapeutic events, workshops and seminars focusing upon wellbeing (indoors and in nature) and have contributed to discussions around healthcare on BBC Radio.
I have extensive experience working indoors and outdoors in the UK and USA with individual adults, couples and groups in private, corporate, collective, charity as well as NHS settings and in critical incident trauma management.
I currently work Monday to Thursday for two weeks of the month, predominantly offering Clinical Supervision and Mindful Photography sessions. I continue to provide services for The Katie Piper Foundation (since 2012).
I am committed to providing an inclusive practice for people to access services comfortably, regardless of disability, health status, race, religion or belief and of gender, sexual, erotic and relationship diversity.
